U.S. Navy – F/A-18 Attack Fighter Aircraft Troubleshooter
Supervised a crew of 10 specialized Airmen responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of complex weapons and radar systems on F/A-18 attack aircraft while in combat operations. Fixed over 1000 issues in high tempo flight operations during Operation Southern Watch and Iraqi Freedom.
20 years’ experience in IT, serving various verticals to include defense, manufacturing, legal, nonprofit, financial and higher education. Proficient in service delivery design, team development and technological alignment with strategic business objectives.
Served as IT Director for a $120 million manufacturing company and oversaw 12 staff including 8 engineers and 4 developers. Successfully led a $450,000 datacenter redesign and network/backbone upgrade.
Employed as the Chief Information Security Officer for an International University, with over 1200 staff and 8,000 students, to implement a strong cybersecurity posture and align the institution with federal compliance framework NIST 800-171. Created the security operations center that supported the University, but also exposed cybersecurity students to real-world scenarios, allowing them to gain practical knowledge for future employment.
Managed over 60 staff, $10 million in technology budgets and logged over 15,000 hours of project management time.
