U.S. Navy – Information Systems Technician

Lead teams of various sizes managing network system configurations and radio frequency systems in both CONUS and OCONUS AORs. Supported network infrastructure ranging from shipboard systems to rapidly deployable expeditionary systems. Deployed four times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Working in IT for 13 years, experienced in infrastructure support to network design and development. Proficient with Policy Compliance, CyberSecurity and industry leading best practices.

Notable Accomplishments

As Systems Administrator onboard USS SAN JACINTO, during a Cyber Security Inspection (Stage III) complied with 120 Communications Tasking Orders and 50 Fragmentary Orders (5,200 line items). This gained recognition from the Inspectors as being the only SURFLANT ship to be 100% compliant with the Host Based Security System.

Deployed with SEAL Team 7, serving as Communications Department Head for the Special Operations Command Maritime Crisis Response Force, leading five personnel and managing $2.1M of equipment throughout 21 campaign activities in nine different countries. Led a team of 10 supporting Joint Special Task Force Iraq, and Exercise Ulchi Taeguk encompassing 567 staff personnel.

Served as NSW Group One Frequency Manager, providing 400+ frequencies ranging from High (HF) to Extremely High (EHF) to NSW commands and PACLANT units within the Naval Region Southwest AOR.
